Position/Title: Product Category Purchasing Manager
Location: IC Intracom Dongguan Office/可接受调度
Reports To: Director of Supplier Management
Job Duties
1. Suppliers Management including sourcing, research, set up and maintenance vendors in ASIA.
Foster relationships with current suppliers to maximize the benefits for IC Intracom
Source new suppliers within assigned product categories to bring the best mix of new technology, product, pricing, and quality to IC Intracom’s product lines
Cooperate with Buyer team to identify areas for supplier improvement; address supplier issues such as late deliveries, quality issues, etc. in a timely manner
Review all existing agreements or vendor relationships to ensure pricing and service levels are competitive
Regularly measure vendor performance using quarterly business reviews, and actively take action to resolve issues.
Communicate, analyze, and forecast business requirements for assigned vendors
2. Product Management
Co-work with Product Management Team (currently located in Germany) to develop the best possible product line for our brands Manhattan and Intellinet
Cooperate with sales and Customer Service to fill customer requests for special products within assigned categories
Write new product specifications and development timetable
Work with product marketing team (in USA and China) to create packaging, user manuals, and support and presentation materials based on product line goals
Oversee day-to-day purchasing activities of assigned product lines
Analysis of purchase data to review opportunities to consolidate demand, lower costs, and or improve the ordering process.
Work independently on multiple concurrent tasks
Promote exceptional sales opportunities with sales offices through Customer Service and Sales Department from price breaks.
Qualification/Background
Fluent English speaking, reading and writing.
At least 3+ years working experience in consumer cables / electronics products
