Responsibilities
1.Develop and maintain strategy for assigned commodities & OEM factory.
2.Understand complete material group value chain, maintain and implement continuous value chain improvements (total cost reductions) aligned with lean initiatives.
3.Management performance, supplier relationship Maintenance, resolution of supplier issues of assigned material groups.
4.Internally represent supplier issues and roadblocks with Steelcase and champion resolution where appropriate.
5.Manage daily vendor non-conformity resolution, on delivery and quality.
6.Monitor supplier performance monthly in Supply Chain Review and identify shifts in performance.
7.Responsible for supplier's corrective action resulting from negative supplier performance trends. Determine root cause for improvements/negative trends and develop and implement solutions.
8.Responsible for quoting (RFQ) lifecycle and product development parts for the assigned material groups.
9.Provide list of candidate suppliers for quoting and owns the quotation analysis and the communication of quotation status and results internally and externally. Owns supplier selection decision.
10.Procurement representative (single point of contact) for transversal project teams (new product development, product localization, plant improvement projects, regional/global projects, etc.).
11.Responsible to use SWI Supply Chain Management processes and tools.
12.Developing managed commodity strategies and yearly cost reduction plan.
13.Conducting managed commodity supplier base consolidation or supply based expansion as required
14.Working out Preferred Supplier List for managed commodities.
Requirements
1.At least 5 years procurement experience in manufacturing industry.
2.Fluent oral English and PC operation.
3.Good communication and negotiation skills.
4.Strong analytical sense and logical thinking.
5.Good technical understanding, Engineering background is a plus.
6.Team player with strong self motivation and willingness to learn.
7.Process driven, rigorous and target-oriented
